This snowmobile trail system connects with all major snowmobile trail systems in Central and Upstate New York and the Canadian border; there are two shifts of paid trail grooming daily to keep the trails in top condition. These trails make for a scenic ride and oversee the beautiful Adirondack mountains consist of open powder riding to meet every level of skill and desire. With hundreds of miles of trails, Old Forge is known as the “Snowmobile Capital of the East”. Trails open in early December after the big game hunting season and stay open as long as conditions permit.
