Romantic Weekend

Friday

When the sun goes down in Old Forge, the party starts. There’s plenty of bars and late-night hangout spots to keep you out till the early morning hours. If you’re into craft beer, Fulton Chain Brewery just off Rt 28 is a must go to!

Saturday

Start your Saturday with breakfast at Ozzie’s Coffee Bar for coffee house favorites and delicious locally made food!

Give your morning a different perspective of the Adirondacks with the scenic views on McCauley Mountain’s Scenic Chair Ride. From up there, you can see the historic Fulton Chain of Lakes with the high peaks rising behind it. On a clear day, Whiteface Mountain and Mount Marcy are visible on the horizon.

Cool off and get in the water with a canoe, kayak or paddleboard rental from Tickner’s. Nick’s Lake is a scenic, peaceful lake where there aren’t any motorized boats. Pack a lunch and find a spot to unwind.

Get connected with nature with Adirondack Scenic Railbike Adventure. This 6-mile 1.5-hour trip takes you peddling through the untouched parts of the Adirondacks and brings you back to Thendara Station.

For the young at heart, end your day with some friendly competition. Check out Calypso’s Cove Family Fun Park for arcade games, go-karts, and other fun actives that will be sure to ignite a spark. Make sure you grab an ice cream cone from Pied Piper across the street before you end your night!

Sunday

With the weekend ending, there’s still plenty to do and see in Old Forge on a Sunday. Grab an Instagram worthy treat from Dough A Deer Bakery and explore all of the shops in downtown filled with different artisan-made goods and other specialty items you can only find in Old Forge.
