Friday

Start your weekend off right with dinner at one of the area’s great restaurants! There’s plenty to choose from, but Slickers is an Old Forge favorite. Located right next to the town beach, it’s in the center of all the fun!

Why let the fun start on Saturday? Begin the thrills Friday at Calypso’s Cove Family Fun Park! Race your way around the go-kart track, take a ride down the zipline, test your skills in the batting cage and be sure to check out the Adirondack’s largest arcade!

The best way to end your first day in Old Forge is a campfire! Be sure to pack ingredients for s’mores or try something different like these Campfire Cones.

Saturday

Breakfast in Old Forge is a pretty big deal and there’s no lack of great spots. Keyes Pancake House is sure to delight even the pickiest of the bunch with pancakes topped with a mountain of whipped cream & fruit or have eggs, bacon, & toast and other classic breakfast favorites. 

Ever since the family arrived, everyone has been counting down the minutes until going to Water Safari. It’s time to get wet! With over 50 rides and attractions, there are thrills for every age level. View the park from above on the Sky Ride and be the first of your gang to conquer the three brand new rides, Serengeti Stampede, Killermanjaro’s Revenge, and The Mamba Strike.

When the family’s ready to dry off, head to the back of the park for classic dry rides and catch the circus show. If you’ve got young ones, check out Storybook Lane where you can stroll under the trees and see over 20 storybook favorites come to life.

With all the thrills it’s time for a real Old Forge treat, ice cream at the Pied Piper! Reflect on the day next to the lake with an ice cream cone or sundae. Looking for a quick dinner option? They’ve got plenty of classic roadside favorites like burgers and loaded chili fries.

Sunday

The fun doesn’t stop just because the weekend is coming to an end. There’s plenty to do on Sunday at Old Forge! Here are just some of the things you can fill your weekend adventure with.

Grab a quick breakfast and check out the shops in downtown. Make sure to stop by Old Forge Hardware – it carries far more than just hardware, trust us.

If you’re up for a climb, Bald Mountain is a great, kid-friendly 1.9-mile hike. Pack a lunch for the top and take in breathtaking views!
